In Social Studies we are learning about different cultures.
We learned about Kente Cloth. It is a hand woven cloth originally made by the Ashanti people in the west African country of Ghana. It has become a colourful symbol of African culture, now loved and worn by many.
First, we glued the green and gold strips onto the red one.
Second, we weaved the blue strips across.

When we finished that we trimmed the ends.

Last, we added decorations with a black felt marker.

 They are beautiful!!!!

  1. Wow, the kids did an amazing work! I enjoyed reading about the Kente cloth. I have seen some beautiful women clothing made with it.
