We have been learning about Geometry in Math for the past 3 weeks.

After learning about 2D shapes we moved on to 3D shapes.

We made cubes,

 pentagonal prisms,

 triangle based pyramids.

and some of us stacked them together!

Ms. Wong prepared such a yummy activity for us to learn about the edges and vertices of 3D shapes.

For the last few days we reviewed what we learned at math stations.

We made robots from 2D shapes.

We built 3D shapes.

We learned about symmetry.

We even got to play BINGO!

We listened to the story The Golden Egg Book by Margaret Wise Brown

The little rabbit found an egg. He tried so many ways to crack the egg. He pushed, climbed on it, rolled it down the hill....and was so tired from trying that he fell asleep.
While he was asleep the egg cracked and a duckling appeared. The duckling looked at the rabbit and tried to wake him up. He pushed, climbed on it, and rolled it down the hill....the rabbit finally woke up and they became friends.

Then we all had a turn to guess what was in Mrs. Lum's egg.

We wrote our own stories about an egg. We decorated our eggs and if you look inside there was a nice surprise!
